The Project Management Group is responsible for managing a range of multidisciplinary projects related to the concept, design, development, manufacture, and testing of new blades. The team takes advantage of Vestas’ matrix organisation to deliver innovative products through integrated projects drawing on a skilled multi-cultural workforce. The Project Management Group is also responsible for setting and improving the standards and processes by which the projects are run.

THE POSITION

The Project Manager will take leadership of the development of a new blade product within Vestas expanding portfolio of wind turbines. The job is positioned in Lem Denmark and the key responsibilities and tasks are:  

• Budget, program and management of blade related projects
• Develop and implement best practice project processes
• Interface with turbine project management and customers
• Ensure timely delivery within time, quality and cost targets
• Support new production systems
• Contribute to Project Management Team expertise and growth

The Project Manager will report to Project Director in the United Kingdom and expected travelling is 1 week per month, mainly to UK.

THE CANDIDATE

Qualifications 

• Engineering degree
• Minimum 5 year hands-on project management skills
• Experience of running integrated projects using matrix management of large multidisciplinary teams
• Familiar with computer aided design techniques
• A good communicator
• A pro-active teamplayer
• Preferred experience with composite structures and wind energy but not mandatory
• Fluently oral and written in Danish and English

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Individual salary is negotiated upon skills plus bonus, IT package and pension.
